Rob first started SCUBA diving in 2012 through SSI. Two years later he attended the Commercial Diving Academy – Technical Institute in Jacksonville Florida and Qualified as a NASE Open Water SCUBA Instructor, a certified Unrestricted Air/Mixed Gas Surface Supplied Commercial Diver and a Dive Medical Technician. In 2017 Rob earned his SDI Open Water SCUBA Instructor certification with Nautilus Aquatics. Rob’s next goal is to earn an Instructor Rating as an Emergency Response Diving Instructor and work with various Fire, Rescue and Law Enforcement Agencies in and around NOVA.
Teaching Specialties: SDI Open Water Diver and students who may need a little more time to get used to their new super power of breathing under water.
Favorite Dive Sites and/or Types of Diving: Rob enjoys salvage diving in the Bermuda Triangle and “Blackwater” diving at various types of commercial and recreational dive sites in both fresh and salt water.
Fun Fact About Rob Outside of Diving: Rob is a Volunteer Firefighter in Ashburn VA and he retired from the U.S. Marine Corps in 2010
Rob’s Thoughts on Diving: Diving is the closest we can some to flying without the use of an aircraft. In diving there are three dimensions to explore and a vast world with covers most of our globe. It is literally the best feeling in the world to dive with some of the world’s most awesome creatures.
