Jay was certified Open Water Diver in the summer of 2003, Divemaster in December, 2013 and AI in May 2014. His nickname, “Pearl”, comes from the determination to keep diving until he sees his first freshwater pearl underwater. Jay is never without a smile and his dry sense of humor helps students feel comfortable while learning something new. Besides fundamental scuba instruction, he specializes in helping nervous divers overcome their anxieties.
