Let’s Get Started…
So you are thinking about getting certified? If you are ready to start your certification, then you are in the right place! Your Open Water Diver Certification is completed in four phases:
- Self Study: Using the eLearning, you begin to learn the basics of SCUBA Diving. Done in the convenience of your own home and at your own pace, the self study must be completed prior to the academic and in water training.
- Orientation & Classroom: Once you complete the self study, join us for an orientation for personal gear purchasing and rental gear fitting. At your classroom session you will review your course schedule, work with your instructor to learn Scuba equipment assembly/break down, and go over your self study materials.
- Confined Water Training: Time to get wet! You’ll head to a local heated pool and practice the fundamental skills of diving over a period of one weekend. These are fun sessions that are required to move on to Open Water training and will make the transition easier.
- Open Water Training: Go diving! Open water training consists of four dives conducted over two days. You’ll apply the skills you learned in the pool and finish your certification during these dives. You can join us locally and finish your certification at either Hyde’s Quarry, Dutch Springs, or Lake Phoenix. You can also travel with us to a more exotic location destination to finish your dives or finally, for a small referral fee, we’ll make sure you have the documentation necessary so you can finish your certification with any dive center worldwide.
So let’s get started below!
