Meet in Sterling for orientation, dry skills, and gear pick up.
Students need to bring their mask, snorkel, fins, wet suit boots to class to be used in the dry skills training for the evening.
Almost all scuba diving gear requires some preparation before it can be used. When you bring home your new scuba mask you will need to carefully remove the residue left on lenses by the manufacturing process and prepare the surface for the first application of anti-fog. To clean your scuba mask, apply a pea-sized drop of Scrub (TM) mask scrub to the inside of the lens. Using your fingertips rub the Sea Buff in a circular motion around the entire surface of the lens. Do not use your fingernails; this may scratch the lens of the mask. Rinse with clean water and repeat until the film is completely removed. You can also rub Sea Buff up and down the strap to remove any film. Always rinse your mask thoroughly after cleaning.
