Boat Diver

Much of the world’s best scuba diving is accessible only by boat. Whether you’ve never made a boat dive or you’ve logged dozens, the Boat Diver Specialty course will benefit you because boats in various parts of the world do things differently. Scuba diving from a boat is fun and relatively easy because you usually descend directly onto your dive site. The Boat Diver course will expand your knowledge about boats from small inflatables to large liveaboards. You’ll gain experience scuba diving by completing two dives from a boat in your local area and learn:
-Boat terminology
-Boat diving procedures and etiquette, including how to enter and exit, and where to stow your gear
-Boating safety, including how to locate safety equipment

Prerequisites: Must be an Open Water Diver or Junior Open Water Diver at least 10 yrs old

Class price includes:
-All instruction
-2 open water dives
-A comprehensive package of study materials and/or online course program
-Certification fees
*Course fee does not include any other snorkel or scuba equipment. Students must provide their own personal gear (masks, fins, snorkels, boots) which are available for purchase at the dive store and our friendly staff can professionally fit you for these items, if needed. BC, Regulator with dive computer, and wetsuits are available to rent at a discounted daily rate for students enrolled in our Boat Diver course.  Students are responsible for providing their own transportation and personal items (swim suit, towel, etc).

Medical: Prior to taking this scuba class, you will need to complete a Continuing Education/Medical form. Please review this form and determine if you are eligible to take a scuba course or if you will need a doctor to sign-off on your form prior to starting the class. This information is required to Enroll or begin any diver training.

Diving Location Options: Visit our Travel Page to join us on one of our fantastic trips to a more exotic locale.

Cancellations or Rescheduling: Cancellations or rescheduling require 48-hour notice. You may reschedule one time at no charge, after that any further adjustments will incur a $50 rescheduling fee per change. Cancellations are subject to a $75 cancellation fee.
