Advanced Scuba Diver Step 1:
Complete the eLearning for the Advanced Scuba Diver Course.
Purchase the PADI Advanced Open Water eLearning ($183)
Purchase the SDI Advanced Adventure Course eLearning ($139)
What you will learn:
Improve dive skills and gain dive experience under the tutelage of Dive Professionals. Students learn additional dive knowledge during the Advanced Scuba Diver eLearning course . Then you will gain new skill experiences as you complete five open water Adventure Dives! Therefore Two of these are mandatory:
- Underwater Navigation: reduce stress and confusion when you know where you are, which way to go, and how far you are from the boat or shore
- Deep: safely dive in depths beyond 60’ to visit wrecks, walls, and coral reefs to a maximum of 100’
Choose from 3:
Plus 3 more from a wide range of Adventure dives, based on training location and instructor availability, you may choose:
-
- Buoyancy: save air, energy, and make diving much more enjoyable and stress free when you learn to dive with neutral buoyancy
- Wreck: explore natural, historical, and artificial wrecks
- Night: seeing the underwater world at night offers a completely different perspective
- Search & Recovery: there are a variety of search patterns that can be used to find and recover lost objects underwater
- Diver Propulsion Vehicle (DPV): explore reefs beyond the reach of swimming in ease and comfort
- Marine Identification: dives are more enjoyable when you know what you are seeing
- Underwater Naturalist: the underwater world is a community, discover it and experience even more that it has to offer
Each Adventure Dive provides an introduction to the additional skills and experience that can be gained in the corresponding Specialty Course, and will be credited as the first dive toward each specialty certification.
Upon completion of the Advanced Scuba Diver course you will be certified to dive to 100’ within the limits of your training and experience. The best part is you can take your Advanced Scuba Diver training immediately upon completion of your beginning scuba course! This is, in fact, recommended as it more than doubles the amount of open water training you receive as a new diver. You can complete the dives locally or on one of our group dive vacations, as all our trips are led by Dive Professionals.
