Dive the Blue Heron Bridge!
The West Palm Beach area is the premiere, top rated shore and boat diving site in the USA! Join us over the 4th of July for awesome diving along the Florida coast.
Not only do the warm Gulf Stream waters of the Caribbean bring all the colorful tropical fish to the reefs and wrecks in the West Palm Beach area, but the nutrient rich currents provide an abundance of large pelagic species. The top of the reef sits at a 50’ depth with a clearly defined ledge wall with depths up to 90’. If you enjoy reef sharks, nurse shark, lemon sharks and goliath groupers, join us on this fun weekend. If you want to see loggerhead, green and hawksbill turtles, they’re here in abundance; as are all three varieties of angelfish, as well as parrot fish, file fish, spadefish, and much more.
The West Palm Beach area is considered the drift diving capital of Florida. The crystal blue waters of the Gulf Stream dip closest to Florida here, which creates a mild current (1 knot average), running parallel to the wrecks and reef lines. The gentle current allows divers to drift effortlessly along all the dive sites with little energy expended.
The dive depths at Blue Heron Bridge range from 5-20 feet, making it great for both beginners and experienced divers. Diving enthusiasts can expect to see a wide assortment of sea life in a fairly small area. It is not uncommon to see pipefish, crabs, lobsters, frog fish, schooling grunts, bat fish, and seahorses. If you are really lucky, you just might spot an octopus, angelfish, school of rays, or even a manatee! Blue Heron Bridge is a macro photographers dream!
